Mohammed V Airport: ONDA Launches a Strategic APOC

ONDA Enhances Operational Governance at Mohammed V Airport
The National Office of Airports (ONDA) has announced the commissioning of an Airport Operational Center (APOC) at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport. This strategic center marks a significant advancement in the operational organization of the Kingdom’s primary airport.
This initiative aims to enhance air traffic fluidity, especially in the lead-up to the Africa Cup of Nations CAN 2025, as well as other major international events that Morocco will host in the coming years.
A Coordination Center Uniting All Key Stakeholders
Located at the heart of the airport platform, the APOC is a supervision and coordination center that brings together, in one unified space, all stakeholders involved in airport operations. This includes services from the Ministry of the Interior, the General Directorate of National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie, Customs Administration, airlines, ground handling agents, air navigation services, as well as maintenance and IT teams.
This integrated approach allows for rapid and coordinated decision-making, based on a comprehensive view of operations.
Continuous Supervision of Airport Operations
Operating 24/7, the APOC oversees all key processes at Mohammed V Airport. It ensures planning and coordination of flight operations, management of runways and parking positions, ground traffic management, baggage flow monitoring, resource tracking, and optimization of passenger routes, checks, and boarding.
The center also integrates the management of mobility and parking, critical infrastructure, maintenance operations, and coordination of security measures.
Direct Benefits for Passengers and Airlines
For passengers, the APOC translates into reduced waiting times, improved pathway fluidity, and access to real-time information. For airlines, it allows for optimized resource coordination, a reduction in delays, and a notable improvement in operational efficiency.
A Strategic Leverage Against Increasing Air Traffic
In a context of an estimated annual traffic growth of over 12%, the APOC provides a concrete answer to the performance and resilience challenges facing Mohammed V Airport, a major hub for national, African, and international traffic.
Through this project, ONDA reaffirms its commitment to modern, proactive, and coordinated management of its infrastructure, fully aligned with the “Airports 2030” strategy.
A Key Asset for CAN 2025 and Future Events
The launch of the APOC is particularly significant as we approach the CAN 2025, allowing for anticipation of peak traffic, management of exceptional flows, and ensuring a passenger experience that meets international standards.
