Moroccan Tennis Shines on the International Stage Thanks to Baadi and Guennouni

Moroccan tennis has once again made a mark on the international stage! Mohamed Taha Baadi and Abdelaziz Guennouni delivered exceptional performances at the Sunrise tournament (United States) and the Nairobi tournament (Kenya), showcasing the colors of Morocco on the courts.

In Sunrise, Florida, Mohamed Taha Baadi dominated the doubles competition at the M15 tournament held from February 3 to 9. Paired with Bolivian Juan Carlos Manuel Aguilar, Baadi triumphed in the finals against the American duo Alex and Miles Jones in a fiercely contested match, ending with scores of 4-6, 6-2, 10-4. This victory not only highlights his talent but also his ability to handle pressure during critical moments.

Meanwhile, in Nairobi, Abdelaziz Guennouni shone in the J60 (Grade 4) tournament, impressing throughout the competition. He notably eliminated the second seed, Israeli player Dan Brand. However, in the final, he had to settle for second place against Botswana’s Ntungamili Raguin, who defeated him 6-1, 6-2. Despite this loss, Guennouni has demonstrated that he is a talent to watch closely in upcoming competitions.

Thanks to these remarkable performances, Moroccan tennis is affirming its rise on the international circuit. One thing is certain: Baadi and Guennouni will continue to excite tennis fans in the years to come!
