Morocco Participates in the International Green Week Berlin for the Eleventh Consecutive Year

Morocco is participating for the eleventh consecutive year in the International Green Week Berlin, which takes place from January 16 to 25, 2026, in the German capital. This event is one of the leading global gatherings focused on agriculture and food.

During this occasion, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Ahmed El Bouari, officially inaugurated the Moroccan pavilion on Friday. The event was attended by the German Federal Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Regional Identity, Alois Georg Josef Rainer, along with representatives from the Moroccan Embassy in Germany, institutional officials, and professionals from the agricultural sector.

Celebrating Moroccan Terroir

The Moroccan pavilion hosts around twenty stands showcasing a diverse range of regional products from 20 cooperatives across the twelve regions of the Kingdom. With culinary demonstrations and cultural performances, visitors are offered an immersive experience in Moroccan gastronomy, highlighting traditions, authentic flavors, and ancestral know-how.

Under the banner of excellence, Morocco’s participation places a particular emphasis on the quality and promotion of regional products, which meet the highest international standards for quality, food safety, and traceability, reflecting the expertise and sustained efforts of Moroccan cooperatives.

Bilateral Meetings

On the sidelines of the International Green Week and the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture, El Bouari held bilateral meetings with the Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Stefan Krajewski, as well as with the UK Minister of State for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs, Angela Eagle.

These discussions focused on cooperation prospects in agricultural, agri-food, and rural sectors, particularly concerning food security, sustainable water resource management, and climate change adaptation.

The meeting with the Polish officials culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in animal health and the safety of animal and animal-derived products.

Founded in 1926, the International Green Week Berlin is a key global exhibition dedicated to agriculture, food, and horticulture. It serves as a prominent platform for promoting agricultural and food products, sharing experiences, and highlighting current consumer trends, including a dedicated space for organic products.
