Morocco Regains 11th Position in the World Rankings

FIFA Rankings: The Atlas Lions Climb to 11th Place Globally

The FIFA rankings have seen a shift as Morocco’s national football team, the Atlas Lions, has moved up one spot to reclaim the 11th position in the latest men’s football rankings released on Wednesday by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

With two victories under their belt, Morocco now boasts a total of 1713.12 points, an increase of 3.01 points from the October ranking, benefiting from Italy’s drop (now 12th) as they fell two places.

The Atlas Lions trail behind Croatia (10th, up one place) with 1716.88 points, Germany (9th, up one place) with 1724.15 points, and Belgium (8th).

At the top of the podium, the leading trio remains unchanged: Spain holds the first position, followed by Argentina in second, and France in third, while England retains its fourth place.

Brazil has made a notable advancement, climbing two spots to 5th, followed by Portugal (6th, down one place) and the Netherlands (7th, down one place).

On the African front, Morocco remains at the top, with Senegal in 19th place (down one). They are followed by Egypt in 34th (down two) and Algeria in 35th.

The most significant progress can be observed lower in the rankings. Malta (161st) gained five places, while the Republic of Ireland (59th) recorded the highest point increase (+34.86). The steepest decline was for El Salvador (100th), which dropped six places, whereas Denmark (21st) experienced the largest point loss (-24.27).
