Official Launch of Green Week 2026

AESVT Morocco, a national association dedicated for over thirty years to environmental education, civic awareness, and the promotion of sustainable development, announces the official launch of the 7th edition of Green Week, organized under the theme:

“Plant, Discover, Commit: Making Nature a Right and a National Priority”

The launch will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Exotic Garden of Bouknadel, an iconic space dedicated to biodiversity preservation and environmental education, part of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection.

This inaugural event, led by Dr. Brahim Haddane, Director of the Exotic Garden of Bouknadel, will mark the kickoff of AESVT Morocco’s national program for 2026. This program is part of a strategic vision aimed at strengthening the bond between citizens and their environment, focusing on three major priorities:

  • Reconnecting with Nature by facilitating access to natural spaces and fostering an ecological culture among youth and the general public;
  • Revitalizing and Reinventing Cities by promoting greenery, nature-based solutions, and improving urban living conditions;
  • Empowering Rural Areas by supporting local initiatives, ecological resilience, and the sustainable use of natural resources.

The program for this day will include:

  • Thematic guided tours of the garden, allowing participants to discover the richness of plant biodiversity;
  • Practical workshops on ecological gardening and composting aimed at promoting concrete actions for the environment;
  • Educational and interactive activities open to youth, families, and the general public.

The event will conclude with a Participatory Green Dialogue, bringing together institutional representatives, local authorities, civil society actors, experts, and citizens. This exchange space will facilitate collective reflection on equitable access to nature, the role of green spaces in the well-being of communities, and the drivers of ecological transition in Morocco. Through this initiative, AESVT Morocco reaffirms its commitment to:

  • Strengthening environmental culture;
  • Encouraging civic engagement;
  • Promoting biodiversity protection;
  • Contributing to making nature an accessible right for all.

The Green Week thus represents a significant moment of national mobilization in favor of a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future.
