ONDA Launches Aérobus, New Shuttle to Mohammed V Airport

ONDA Launches Aérobus: A New Shuttle Connecting Mohammed V International Airport to Casablanca

The National Office of Airports (ONDA) announced on Tuesday the official launch of Aérobus, a new shuttle service designed to connect Mohammed V International Airport with the city of Casablanca.

According to a statement from ONDA, this mobility solution has been operational since Monday, offering travelers a simple, smooth, and comfortable way to travel. The shuttle operates every 30 minutes, enhancing existing transportation options, including trains and taxis.

Accelerated for deployment ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), Aérobus aims to effectively manage the anticipated influx of visitors while improving the experience for both Moroccan and international travelers.

Implemented in coordination with Alsa Al Baida, the public transport operator of Greater Casablanca, the service connects Terminal 2 of the airport to Casa Port Station, with a stop at Terminal 1 and a route through the city’s main neighborhoods. With urban connections, travelers can easily access the public transport network.

Offered at a fixed fare of 50 dirhams, Aérobus is part of the Airports 2030 strategy, which aims to modernize infrastructure and provide innovative services to passengers. The dedicated fleet, compliant with Euro VI standards, operates 24/7, featuring modern buses equipped with free Wi-Fi, secure luggage spaces, air conditioning, and facilities for people with reduced mobility. Multilingual drivers and continuous customer service are also in place to ensure optimal support.

Each bus can accommodate 80 passengers, 26 of whom will have seats, with a daily capacity target of 4,500 travelers, set to increase during CAN 2025.

In addition to improving travel convenience, Aérobus will help reduce individual traffic to the airport, thus decreasing road congestion, especially during periods such as Hajj, Umrah, and the Marhaba operation.

With this launch, ONDA takes another step forward in implementing its Airports 2030 strategy, enhancing the quality of services offered to travelers and modernizing mobility around Mohammed V International Airport.
