Press Release: ESITH, Morocco and Hauts-de-France Polytechnic University

Casablanca, April 16, 2025.
The ESITH of Morocco, through its Center of Excellence in Logistics (CELOG), and the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France, via the TEC-LOGd chair (Transport, Circular Economy, and Sustainable Logistics Chains), announce the upcoming international conference SMILE 2025 – Smart Management in Industrial and Logistics Engineering.
This event will take place from April 16 to 19, 2025, at ESITH in Casablanca. It will bring together international experts, researchers, and decision-makers to address significant issues related to logistics, transport, and industrial engineering. SMILE 2025 will provide a platform for exchanging scientific advancements and innovative solutions for a more intelligent and sustainable management of logistics chains.
Objectives and Themes
In light of increasing pressures on natural resources, population growth, and environmental challenges, SMILE 2025 will focus on:
- The integration of circular economy principles into logistics management;
- The transition from linear economic models to circular approaches;
- The contributions of emerging technologies (artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, Big Data) in transforming logistics systems.

- Wednesday, April 16, 2025 (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM): Welcome reception and cocktail
- Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18, 2025: Conferences and thematic sessions
- Saturday, April 19, 2025: Guided tour of the historical monuments of Casablanca
Publication of Works
The best articles will be published in the IEEE Engineering Management Review (Q2). All contributions selected by the scientific committee will be compiled in the conference proceedings, published in the Scopus MDPI – Engineering Proceedings journal.
