Rabat Inaugurates the New Rabat-Riyad Station

A New Infrastructure for Urban Mobility
The capital of the Kingdom has unveiled a new state-of-the-art train station with the opening of the Rabat-Riad station on Monday, December 15, 2025, as announced by the National Office of Railways (ONCF).
A Project Within the “Rabat, City of Lights” Initiative
Located in the heart of the Hay Riad neighborhood, in close proximity to the Moulay Abdellah sports complex, this modern infrastructure is part of the “Rabat, City of Lights” program, aimed at enhancing the attractiveness and modernity of the capital.
A Key Link in Rabat’s Rail Network
The new station complements the existing rail network alongside the Rabat-Agdal and Rabat-City stations, facilitating daily commutes and improving the fluidity of urban and regional transport.
International Standards to Address Urban Growth
Designed according to the most stringent international standards, the Rabat-Riad station aims to support the city’s demographic growth and meet the needs of both residents and visitors.
A Strategic Location with Enhanced Accessibility
Spanning an area of 35,000 square meters, the station connects Annakhil Avenue to the east with Hassan II Avenue and the Moulay Abdellah Stadium to the west, playing a strategic role in improving traffic flow and accessibility in the capital.
