Rain, Snow, and Cold Weather in Morocco This Sunday

Thunderstorms Expected in Several Regions
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts rain or occasional thunderstorms this Sunday, November 30, 2025. The affected areas will include the plains north of Essaouira, the Rif, Saiss, the phosphate plateaus, and Oulmes, as well as the Mediterranean coast. The High and Middle Atlas, along with their western slopes and the Oriental region, will also be impacted.
Snowfall Expected Above 1,700 Meters
Snowfall is predicted in the High and Middle Atlas, and locally in the Rif and eastern high plateaus, starting at elevations of 1,700 meters. These winter conditions will enhance the feeling of cold in mountainous areas.
Light Precipitation in the Souss Region
A few drops or scattered showers are expected in the Souss region, with no significant effect on the general weather conditions across the country.
Notable Drop in Temperatures
Temperatures are set to drop noticeably, bringing quite cold to cold conditions in the north, mountainous areas, high plateaus, and the Oriental region. Strong gusts of wind will affect the central and southern coasts, as well as the Atlas region.
Forecasted Minimum Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will range from -3°C to 3°C in the Atlas, Rif, and eastern high plateaus. They will vary between 10°C and 16°C in the southern provinces and central regions, while the rest of the country will see temperatures ranging from 6°C to 10°C.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be pleasant to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait, rough between Larache and Tarfaya, and slightly choppy to rough along other coastal areas.
