Strengthening Morocco–Saudi Arabia Cooperation in Civil Aviation
On Monday in Dubai, Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, met with Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, to explore ways to enhance Morocco-Saudi Arabia cooperation in civil aviation. This meeting took place during the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow, a global event bringing together key players in the aerospace industry.
A Growing Dynamic of Air Traffic Between the Two Countries
The two officials praised the quality of bilateral relations and discussed several issues related to air transport, including services, connectivity, and development prospects.
Abdessamad Kayouh emphasized that recent years have witnessed a strong dynamic in air traffic between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, including:
Hajj and Umrah flights,
Regular flights transporting citizens of both countries,
Growing tourism and economic exchanges.
A Shared Commitment to Strengthen the Strategic Partnership
In a statement to the MAP, the minister noted that these discussions reflect Morocco’s desire to solidify its cooperation with Saudi Arabia in all areas related to civil aviation, both institutionally and technically.
Morocco Reaffirms its Role in Hosting the ICAO World Symposium in 2026
The meeting also confirmed Morocco’s hosting of the ICAO Global Aviation Security Symposium (GASS 2026), scheduled for April 2026 in Marrakech.
According to the minister, the Dubai Airshow serves as an ideal platform to invite countries from around the world to participate in this significant international event.
