Enhanced Morocco-Saudi Arabia Cooperation in Civil Aviation
The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, met on Monday in Dubai with the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, to explore ways to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and Saudi Arabia in civil aviation. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow, a global event bringing together key players in the aerospace industry.
Growing Air Traffic Dynamics Between the Two Countries
Both officials praised the quality of bilateral relations and discussed various issues related to air transport, including services, connectivity, and development perspectives.
Abdessamad Kayouh emphasized that recent years have seen a significant increase in air traffic between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, driven by:
flights for Hajj and Umrah,
regular connections transporting citizens of both countries,
increasing tourism and economic exchanges.
A Shared Commitment to Strengthen the Strategic Partnership
In a statement to MAP, the minister asserted that these discussions reflect Morocco’s commitment to consolidating its cooperation with Saudi Arabia in all areas related to civil aviation, both institutionally and technically.
Morocco Reaffirms its Hosting of the ICAO World Symposium in 2026
The meeting also confirmed Morocco’s organization of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO – GISS 2026) World Symposium, scheduled for April 2026 in Marrakech.
According to the minister, the Dubai Airshow serves as an ideal platform to invite countries from around the world to participate in this major international event.
Notable Moroccan Participation at the Dubai Airshow 2025
Opened on Monday, the Dubai International Airshow gathers leaders, experts, and professionals from over 150 countries. Morocco is participating through:
an official delegation led by Abdessamad Kayouh,
a dedicated pavilion from the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE),
the presence of several exhibitors from the Moroccan aerospace industry.
