Strengthening Arab Industrial and Energy Cooperation: Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Rabat

Memorandum Signed to Enhance Cooperation between AIDSMO and OAPEC
On Wednesday, in Rabat, the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization, and Mines (AIDSMO) and the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening their mutual cooperation. The agreement was signed by AIDSMO’s Director General, Adel Saker, and OAPEC’s Secretary-General, Jamal Essa Al Loughani.
The primary goal of this memorandum is to invigorate scientific, technical, and research collaboration between the two organizations. It also aims to promote coordination and industrial, mining, and energy integration among Arab countries, leveraging available resources and means.
During the signing ceremony, Adel Saker emphasized that this initiative marks a significant step in the cooperation between the two entities, showcasing their commitment to providing sustainable and innovative solutions that support Arab excellence in the industrial and energy sectors. He also expressed his gratitude to Jamal Essa Al Loughani for the attention given to this strategic partnership and for the recent reforms within OAPEC, which aim to strengthen its role as an Arab energy organization.
In his remarks, Jamal Essa Al Loughani highlighted the importance of this agreement in consolidating cooperation in the industrial and energy sectors. He underscored the necessity of exchanging knowledge, publications, and technical studies between the two organizations. He also called for the improvement of official communication channels to facilitate the implementation of agreed-upon actions and ensure effective monitoring of the signed protocol.
