Strengthening Cooperation Between the DGSN and the Royal Judicial Agency for the Defense of State Interests

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the Royal Judicial Agency (AJR) signed a partnership agreement on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This agreement aims to strengthen their cooperation and sustainable coordination in protecting the interests of the state in legal matters and in the management and prevention of disputes.

The objectives of this agreement include developing the capabilities of both institutions, exchanging expertise and legal advice to enhance administrative services, and fostering citizens’ trust in public administration, as stated in a joint communiqué from the DGSN and the AJR.

Signed by Ms. Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, and Mr. Abderrahman Lamtouni, Legal Agent of the Kingdom, the agreement seeks to establish a framework and organization for cooperation between the DGSN and the AJR, particularly in relation to dispute management and prevention, as well as identifying associated risks.

It also emphasizes the defense of the state’s interests before judicial bodies, the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in scientific fields, and the development of skills and human resources.

The agreement outlines the commitments of the parties, including the coordination of defense procedures and the monitoring of the implementation of judgments in favor of the DGSN and its officials, as well as the protection of police officers who are victims of assaults in the line of duty.

To ensure the optimal implementation of this partnership, the agreement provides for the establishment of a Steering Committee responsible for developing joint action plans, supported by a Technical Committee tasked with executing actions and designing future projects aimed at strengthening this cooperation.

This initiative reflects both parties’ commitment to developing effective institutional cooperation in serving the public interest through exemplary management of legal disputes and the optimal defense of public police service officials.
