Temporary Closure of Tétouan–Sania Ramel Airport Due to Heavy Rainfall

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics has announced the temporary closure of Tétouan–Sania Ramel Airport, starting this Thursday. This decision follows a thorough assessment of the current conditions at the airport following heavy rainfall in the region over the past few hours.

In a statement, the ministry clarified that this decision was made in coordination with the relevant technical services to ensure the safety of passengers and staff, as well as to provide safe operational conditions for the airport. This closure will also allow the necessary technical work and interventions to take place.

The same source indicated that this measure is in response to technical data that necessitated the immediate implementation of preventive actions, in accordance with the national and international safety standards governing air navigation, to ensure the highest levels of safety and security.
