Temporary Suspension of Classes in Tangier-Assilah Due to Weather Disruptions

It has been decided to temporarily suspend classes in all public and private educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Tanger-Assilah prefecture on Monday, February 9, 2026, due to the exceptional weather disruptions affecting the region.

This decision, made by the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, is part of preventive measures aimed at ensuring the safety of students as well as teaching and administrative staff. It was adopted in coordination with local authorities.

The Provincial Directorate has also assured that there will be continuous monitoring of the weather situation and that relevant parties will be informed promptly of any new developments.
