Arab League Secretary-General Condemns Iranian Attacks on Kuwaiti Infrastructure

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting power plants and desalination facilities in Kuwait this Monday.

Rejection of Aggression Against Arab States
In an official statement, Ahmed Aboul Gheit reaffirmed that any Iranian military attack against an Arab country, regardless of its form or magnitude, is categorically rejected and condemned.

Violation of International Law
He emphasized that the targeting of essential civilian infrastructure—such as water networks, energy facilities, transportation hubs, and residential areas—constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and can be classified as a war crime.

Call for Immediate Cessation of Attacks
Additionally, the Secretary-General’s spokesperson, Jamal Rouchdi, indicated that he has urged Iran to immediately comply with United Nations Security Council resolutions and to cease all aggression against Arab states.
