Casablanca Stock Exchange Begins on a Positive Note
The Casablanca Stock Exchange kicked off trading on Thursday morning with a positive tone, showing a remarkable recovery following the decline experienced the previous day.
Performance of Key Indices
The MASI index, a key benchmark for the market, gained 1.64%, reaching 18,955.71 points.
The MASI.20 index, which reflects the performance of the 20 leading listed companies, increased by 1.98%, settling at 1,476.66 points.
The MASI.ESG index, dedicated to companies with high environmental, social, and governance ratings, recorded a rise of 1.72%, standing at 1,284.11 points.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which measures the performance of listed SMEs, also advanced by 0.74%, reaching 1,874.18 points.
Rebound After a Declining Session
This recovery follows a declining session on Wednesday, where the MASI index closed down by 1.23%, highlighting notable volatility in the Moroccan market.
