Casablanca Stock Exchange Shows Positive Opening Trend
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened this Monday on an upward trend, driven by the rise of its benchmark index, the MASI, which gained 1.11% to settle at 18,681.18 points.
Other market indicators also showed positive movements. The MASI 20, which comprises the twenty most liquid stocks, recorded an increase of 1.49%, reaching 1,481.47 points. Meanwhile, the MASI ESG, which measures the performance of the highest-rated companies in terms of environmental, social, and governance factors according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, saw an increase of 1.64%, climbing to 1,247.09 points.
Additionally, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, which reflects the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, appreciated by 0.54%, establishing itself at 1,832.03 points.
This positive trend follows a downturn recorded last Friday, when the MASI dropped by 2.45%.
