The Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens with a Slight Decline

The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened this Thursday in negative territory, marking a slight decline in its main indices following the gains recorded the day before.
Stock Indicators Decline at Opening
The MASI index, which encompasses all listed securities, fell by 0.04% to settle at 18,512.38 points. The MASI 20, which includes the 20 most liquid securities, dropped by 0.03% to 1,504.33 points.
Meanwhile, the MASI ESG index, dedicated to companies rated highly by Moody’s ESG Solutions, recorded a decrease of 0.04% to 1,254.69 points.
SMEs Under Pressure: Notable Decline in Mid & Small Cap
The MASI Mid and Small Cap, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized capitalizations, showed the most significant decline, down 0.57% to reach 1,808.19 points.
Major Declines: TAQA Morocco and CFG Bank Lead
Several securities weighed heavily on the downward trend, notably:
