The Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens with a Slight Decline

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on Monday, January 12, 2026, with a slight decline, as the main index MASI fell by 0.03% to settle at 19,464.41 points.

Performance of Secondary Indices

MASI 20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, dropped by 0.07% to 1,530.66 points.

MASI ESG, the index for companies rated highest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, increased by 0.13% to 1,305.57 points.

MASI Mid and Small Cap, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, rose by 0.34% to 1,910.63 points.

Eqdom: -3.63% (1,301 MAD)

IB Maroc.com: -3.2% (68.73 MAD)

Auto Hall: -2.9% (93.2 MAD)

Colorado: -2.2% (84.11 MAD)

Stokvis Nord Afrique: -1.81% (100.15 MAD)

Conversely, the strongest gains were recorded by:

SMI: +6.36% (5,000 MAD)

Lesieur Cristal: +5.41% (370 MAD)

Med Paper: +3.7% (28 MAD)

Cartier Saada: +2.18% (34.74 MAD)

Bank of Africa: +2.02% (227.5 MAD)

Closure of Last Week

Last Friday, the MASI index closed the session with a gain of 0.42%, marking a positive performance before the start of the week.
