Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts Wednesday on a Positive Note
On Wednesday, the Casablanca Stock Exchange kicked off trading with gains, as its main index, the MASI, increased by 0.16% to reach 18,379.94 points.
Shortly after the opening, the MASI 20, which comprises the 20 most liquid stocks, rose by 0.19% to 1,498.1 points. Additionally, the MASI ESG, an index that tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, advanced by 0.26% to 1,244.57 points.
Meanwhile, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, reflecting the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, saw a rise of 0.31%, reaching 1,792.61 points.
Among individual stocks, Med Paper led the gains with a 3.61% increase to 29 MAD, followed by Jet Contractors, which rose 3.54% to 2,548 MAD, Stokvis Nord Afrique with a 2.21% rise to 115.5 MAD, Douja Prom Addoha up by 2.19% to 36.9 MAD, and Taqa Morocco, which increased by 2.04% to 2,296 MAD.
On the other hand, Auto Hall faced a decline of 2.55%, trading at 92.52 MAD, followed by Ennakl down 2.47% to 53.64 MAD, Ib Maroc.com which fell by 2.01% to 67.61 MAD, Stroc Industrie down 1.11% to 268 MAD, and Mutandis SCA decreasing by 1.1% to 260.1 MAD.
The previous day, the MASI had closed with a loss of 0.46%.
