Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Strong
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened positively on Wednesday, with its main index, the MASI, rising by 0.69% to reach 18,528.08 points.
The MASI 20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, saw an increase of 0.41%, reaching 1,480.95 points. Meanwhile, the MASI ESG, which tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, gained 0.56% to settle at 1,247.91 points.
Contrarily, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, reflecting the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, experienced a decline of 0.29%, falling to 1,828.14 points.
On Tuesday, the MASI had closed with a gain of 0.46%.
