The CNSS Responds to Data Breach: An Investigation is Underway

On Wednesday, the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) confirmed that initial investigations into leaked documents, attributed to a cyberattack and shared on social media, revealed that they were often false, inaccurate, or distorted.

In a statement, the CNSS explained that its computer system had been targeted by attacks aimed at bypassing security measures, leading to a data leak. The origins and details of this breach are currently under evaluation.

Upon detecting the leak, the CNSS activated its cybersecurity protocol, taking corrective measures to contain the situation and strengthen its infrastructure. Resources have also been put in place to accurately identify the affected data.

The CNSS reiterated its commitment to protect personal data and ensure the confidentiality of its users’ information. An internal administrative investigation is underway, and the relevant judicial authorities have been notified by the CNSS.

Finally, the CNSS urged citizens and the media to exercise vigilance and responsibility by refraining from disseminating or sharing leaked or falsified data, warning of potential legal repercussions.
