The Fès–Meknès Regional Authority Strengthens its Partnership with the EU and AFD for Water Security and Sustainable Development

The Regional Multi-Service Company of Fès–Meknès (SRM-FM) organized a meeting on February 26, 2026, with the Delegation of the European Union and the French Development Agency (AFD) to review funding agreements and assess progress on ongoing strategic projects.
These agreements focus on the development of priority infrastructure for drinking water and sanitation, contributing to environmental protection, the preservation of water resources, and strengthening resilience in the face of climate change.
During this meeting, the General Director of SRM-FM emphasized that this partnership aims to ensure a modern, efficient, and equitable public service for citizens and the development of the Fès–Meknès region. Representatives from the EU and AFD praised the commitment of the teams and reaffirmed their intention to support the deployment of the program throughout the region.
This strategic partnership illustrates a shared commitment to sustainable development, centered on water security, environmental protection, and the continuous improvement of the quality of life for the residents of Fès–Meknès.
