The Government Council is meeting this Thursday.

A government council will convene on Thursday under the leadership of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, as stated in a communiqué from his department.
At the outset of its work, the council will hear a presentation from the Minister of Health and Social Protection regarding the spread of measles and the measures being implemented to curb the disease. They will also hear from the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests about the progress of the 2024-2025 agricultural campaign.
Subsequently, the council will review two draft decrees. The first focuses on the criteria and methods for delineating close and distant protection zones around water catchment facilities for public supply, detailing the works and activities that may be prohibited or regulated within these zones.
The second decree establishes the modalities and conditions for defining safeguard and prohibition zones, as well as the issuance of permits and concessions within these areas.
The council will conclude its proceedings by examining proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution, the communiqué concludes.
