Government Council Approves Extradition Agreement with Vietnam

The Government Council, convened on Thursday, April 2, 2026, was informed of an extradition agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, signed in Hanoi on October 25, 2025.

Presentation of a Bill for Approval

Following the weekly meeting, the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, stated that the Council reviewed Bill No. 020.26 aimed at approving this agreement. He specified that the text was presented by the Minister of Justice on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad.

A Step Towards Strengthening Judicial Cooperation

This agreement is part of efforts to enhance judicial cooperation between the two countries, particularly in combating crime and facilitating extradition procedures. It also reflects Morocco’s desire to expand its network of international partnerships in the legal field to better address the challenges posed by transnational crime.
