The Marrakech-Safi Regional Council Holds Its 14th Board Meeting Under the Presidency of Minister Karim Zidane

Marrakech, October 8, 2025 – The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, responsible for Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, presided over the 14th Board of Directors meeting of the Marrakech-Safi Regional Investment Center (CRI), which was the second meeting of the year 2025. The agenda primarily focused on the revised budget for 2025, the initial budget for 2026, and the multiannual action plan for 2026–2028.
This meeting aligns with the reform of the Regional Investment Centers, carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 22-24, amending and supplementing Law No. 47-18 concerning the reform of CRIs and the creation of Unified Regional Investment Commissions (CRUI). The aim is to enhance their role in attracting and supporting investments.
In his opening speech, the Minister emphasized the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, regarding the promotion and attraction of investments, highlighting the progress made in the Marrakech-Safi region. These advancements are reflected in a significant increase in the number and volume of approved projects, demonstrating investor confidence and the relevance of the ongoing reforms.
The Acting Director of the Marrakech-Safi CRI presented the revised budget for 2025, the multiannual forecasts, and the roadmap for 2026–2028.
The 2026 action plan revolves around six strategic pillars: economic intelligence, territorial planning, investment promotion, business support, internal governance, and digitalization. This plan aims to enhance proximity to investors, simplify procedures, and streamline the investment process while leveraging the territorial potential. Key priorities include disseminating economic and cartographic analyses, contributing to urban planning documents, revitalizing industrial welcome zones, organizing high-impact promotional events, and establishing structured communication with the media. The plan also emphasizes strengthening project monitoring, modernizing the information system, and enhancing the skills of internal teams, all within a framework of agility and transparency.
The three-year roadmap for 2026–2028 outlines the medium-term prospects for the Marrakech-Safi CRI, in alignment with the national strategy for the development of private investments. It is based on major axes such as strengthening regional economic intelligence, institutional coordination around major structuring projects, comprehensive digitization of processes, and reinforcing territorial offerings. It also envisions continued efforts in governance, internal audit, and strategic communication to ensure rigorous management and ongoing performance evaluation.
