The Ministry of National Education and the ONDH Sign Partnership for the Awarding of the “Pioneer Institutions” Label

The Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, in collaboration with the National Observatory for Human Development (ONDH), signed a partnership agreement in Rabat on Friday aimed at supporting the process of awarding the “Pioneer Establishments” label for the 2024-2025 academic year, intended for eligible educational institutions.

This agreement was signed during a meeting chaired by Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saad Berrada, and ONDH President, Othman Gayer. It reflects the commitment of the supervisory department to ensure inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education, in line with the provisions of the Constitution, Law 51.17, and the Strategic Vision 2015-2030, according to a joint statement.

Under this agreement, the ONDH will assist the ministry in this endeavor by collecting and analyzing data for the classification committee of the relevant institutions. This initiative involves 2,000 primary schools, 512 branches, and 232 colleges, all participating in the “Pioneer Establishments” project.

During the signing, Minister Berrada emphasized that the awarding of this label to qualifying institutions aims to ensure quality in teaching, learning, management, and administration. The goal is also to improve the school environment, enhance student competencies, and reduce dropout and school abandonment rates.

This initiative is part of the implementation of the 2022-2026 roadmap, which seeks to establish a new model of educational institution founded on quality, excellence, and innovation.
