The Spanish police commend the strength of their cooperation with Moroccan security services.
The Spanish National Police praised the strength of its cooperative relations with the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance this Wednesday, emphasizing that this partnership is a crucial pillar in the joint fight against terrorism.
In a statement, the Spanish police highlighted that this strategic collaboration, based on mutual trust and constant information exchange, has facilitated the neutralization of serious threats to the national security of both countries.
Since 2014, the operational coordination between Moroccan and Spanish security services has led to over 30 joint operations, resulting in the arrest of approximately 150 individuals involved in terrorist activities, including 83 on Spanish territory.
The statement also underscored that this cooperation reached a critical turning point with Operation Azteca, conducted on March 14, 2014, which dismantled one of the largest networks for recruiting and sending fighters to Syria and the Sahel region, along with the arrest of eight individuals of various nationalities.
