The United Arab Emirates Announces the Destruction of Ballistic Missiles and Drones
The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates announced on Monday that air defense systems detected 15 ballistic missiles, of which 12 were intercepted and destroyed, while three others fell into the sea.
### Interception of Drones
In a statement relayed by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the ministry noted that 18 drones were also spotted, with 17 being intercepted and one drone crashing on the territory of the state.
### Overview of Attacks Since Their Inception
According to the same source, since the onset of Iranian attacks, a total of 253 ballistic missiles have been detected. Of these, 233 were destroyed by defense systems, 18 fell into the sea, and two reached UAE territory.
Additionally, the ministry specified that 1,440 Iranian drones were detected, of which 1,359 were intercepted, while 81 crashed on national territory. Eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.
### Human Impact
These attacks have resulted in four fatalities and 117 minor injuries, according to authorities.
The ministry reaffirmed that Emirati armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any threat and to safeguard the sovereignty, security, and stability of the nation.
