The United Arab Emirates Resumes Air Traffic Following the Lifting of Preventive Measures

UAE Reopens Airspace After Security Measures Lifted

On Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates announced the resumption of air traffic within the country’s airspace, following the lifting of temporary precautionary measures that had been implemented due to the security situation in the region.

In a statement released by the Emirates News Agency, the General Civil Aviation Authority noted that this decision followed a comprehensive assessment of the operational and security situation, conducted in coordination with relevant authorities. The agency also emphasized its ongoing monitoring efforts to ensure the highest levels of air safety.

Furthermore, the authority praised the cooperation of passengers and airlines during the previous period, declaring that its technical and operational teams remain fully mobilized to address any potential developments.

Earlier in the day, authorities had announced a temporary and partial closure of the country’s airspace as an exceptional precautionary measure to ensure the safety of flights, crews, and national territory, against a backdrop of escalating security developments in the region.

These measures come amid a series of drone and missile attacks targeting several Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, attributed to Iran since the onset of the offensive launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.
