Thunderstorms and snowfall expected in several regions of Morocco this Saturday.
Weather Forecast for Saturday: Unstable Conditions Across Several Regions
The General Directorate of Meteorology is forecasting unstable weather conditions for this Saturday across various regions of the Kingdom, with relatively cool temperatures, particularly in the Atlas and Rif mountain ranges.
According to the predictions, rain and thunderstorms are expected to affect the Atlantic plains stretching from Casablanca to Safi, as well as the phosphate plateaus and Oulmès, the Saïss region, the Rif, and the High and Middle Atlas. The Souss region and the south of the Oriental area will also see precipitation. Light rainfall is anticipated in the western Atlas, in the regions of Abda and Chiadma, and in the northwestern parts of the Saharan provinces.
Scattered showers will also impact the Tanger region and the Atlantic plains north of Casablanca, with localized rain expected in the southern Saharan provinces. Additionally, snowfall is predicted for the peaks of the High Atlas. Strong gusts of wind are anticipated in the Atlas mountain ranges, the southeast, the Oriental area, and the southern provinces, sometimes accompanied by dust storms.
As for minimum temperatures, they are expected to range between -1°C and 6°C in the Atlas mountains, between 4°C and 9°C in the Rif and the high plateaus of the Oriental, between 16°C and 18°C in the southern provinces, and between 11°C and 15°C elsewhere. Daytime temperatures are predicted to rise in the southern provinces, along central coasts, and in the Tanger region, while they will decline in the rest of the country.
Finally, sea conditions will be rough to very rough in the Mediterranean, moderately choppy to rough in the Strait, and rough to very rough along the rest of the coasts.
