Tiznit to Celebrate Amazigh New Year 2975 with the “Tiflwine” Festival from January 11 to 14

The city of Tiznit will host the cultural event “Tiflwine” from January 11 to 14, 2025, dedicated to celebrating the Amazigh New Year 2975. This celebration, which marks an important moment in Moroccan heritage, will occur under the theme “The Land and Identity in Celebration.”

Organized by the Municipality of Tiznit in collaboration with the Provincial Council and civil society, the 2025 edition continues the Royal decision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who declared January 14 as the first day of the Amazigh year and an official holiday in Morocco.

During these four days of festivities, visitors will be able to discover a series of activities that showcase the cultural diversity of Tiznit. Among the highlights, tasting spaces will offer traditional dishes linked to “Iẓ n IYar,” while the celebration of “Al-Ma’ruf” will emphasize the values of social solidarity.

Participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy artistic performances, including “Ahwash” dances and collective arts representing various regions of Morocco. Concurrently, spiritual events will be organized, featuring Sufi evenings, Quranic recitations, prophetic praises, as well as reading and calligraphy workshops. An exhibition of local jewelry will also provide a glimpse into the traditional craftsmanship of the region.

This event aims to strengthen the Amazigh culture, a fundamental pillar of Moroccan identity, while promoting knowledge-based economy and the heritage of Tiznit. The event will also highlight traditional craftsmanship, local products, and the diverse artistic expressions of the region.
