Weather Alert: Snowfalls and Thunderstorms Expected in Several Regions of Morocco

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced snowfall and thunderstorms in several regions of the Kingdom starting this Wednesday, under an orange level alert.
Snowfall in the Mountains
According to the Directorate, elevations starting from 1,700 meters are expected to experience snow accumulations of 10 to 20 cm, particularly in the prefectures and provinces of Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Azilal, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, and Midelt.
These conditions are anticipated from 10 AM to 11 PM this Wednesday.
Thunderstorms on the North and Central Coasts
Thunderstorm showers reaching 20 to 30 mm are also expected in the areas of Salé, Kénitra, Khémisset, Rabat, M’diq-Fnideq, Tanger-Asilah, Tétouan, Larache, and Fahs-Anjra.
These phenomena will last from 11 AM to 8 PM.
Recommendations for Residents and Drivers
The Directorate advises caution while traveling, especially on mountain roads and areas exposed to heavy rainfall, and urges everyone to regularly check weather reports.
