Weather Alerts: Snowfalls, Heavy Rain, and Strong Winds Expected This Weekend

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced that snowfall, heavy rain with possible thunderstorms, and strong wind gusts are expected on Friday and Saturday across several provinces of the Kingdom.
Snowfall is anticipated at elevations exceeding 1,800 meters, from Friday at 11 a.m. until Saturday at 6 a.m., in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Taroudant, according to an orange-level warning bulletin.
Additionally, heavy rain sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, along with wind gusts ranging from 30 to 50 millimeters, will affect the regions of Safi, Essaouira, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Berrechid, Settat, Casablanca, Nouaceur, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Taroudant, Nador, El Hoceima, Berkane, and Oujda, from Friday at 6 a.m. to Saturday at 4 p.m.
Finally, severe wind gusts reaching between 70 and 95 km/h, accompanied by dust storms, are expected on Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the areas of Figuig, Jerada, Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Zagora, Midelt, Boulemane, Guercif, and Tinghir.
