The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts generally stable weather across the Kingdom for Monday, February 16, with mostly clear skies and a few clouds in many regions.
Morning Chill in Several Areas
Relatively cool conditions are expected in the morning, particularly in the Atlas mountains, the Rif region, the eastern high plateaus, and in the Saïss area as well as the Walmas plateau. This morning chill may also affect some northern and central plains of the country.
Clouds and Fog Near the Coasts
The sky will occasionally be cloudy near the northern and southern Atlantic coasts, with local fog banks forming during the morning and night that could reduce visibility in certain coastal areas.
Moderate to Strong Winds and Sand Phenomena
Moderate to relatively strong gusts of wind are anticipated along the Mediterranean front, the eastern region, and the Saharan provinces, with local sandstorms possible in affected areas.
Temperatures: Low at Night, Rising During the Day
Minimum temperatures are expected to range from -2 to 4°C in the Atlas mountains, the Rif, and the eastern high plateaus. They will vary between 11 and 15°C in the Saharan provinces, the interior of the Souss region, and near the coasts, while temperatures in the rest of the country will range between 5 and 10°C.
Maximum temperatures, on the other hand, are expected to increase throughout the day.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be slightly choppy to choppy along the Mediterranean coast, the Strait of Gibraltar, and along other coastlines.
