Weather for Tuesday, August 12, 2025: Intense Heat and Coastal Fog on the Agenda

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts hot to very hot weather for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, particularly influenced by the chergui wind, which will blow across the northern and central plains, the phosphate plateaus, the Oulmès region, the Souss area, the Southeast, as well as the interior of the southern provinces.
Relatively dense low clouds will be present in the morning and during the night, accompanied by areas of mist or localized drizzle along the coasts.
The sky will be mostly clear with occasional clouds over the Atlas mountains, the southeastern part of the country, and the Saharan provinces.
Moderate to fairly strong wind gusts are expected in the Tangier region and in the southern provinces.
As for temperatures, a decrease is anticipated in the central Atlantic plains and the northwest of the Saharan provinces, while an increase is expected in other regions.
At sea, conditions will be relatively calm: pleasant to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean, and moderately to choppy in the Strait and along the entire Atlantic coast.
