Weather Forecast for March 10 in Morocco
The General Directorate of Meteorology has predicted relatively cold weather for Tuesday, March 10, across several regions of Morocco, particularly in the Atlas and Rif mountain ranges, as well as in the high plateaus of the Oriental region.
Snowfall in the Mountains
Snow is expected in the higher elevations of the High and Middle Atlas, as well as in the Rif and southern regions of Oriental, particularly in areas exceeding 1,400 meters above sea level.
Rain Showers and Thunderstorms in Several Regions
Localized rain or thunderstorms are also anticipated in the eastern part of the country, the Atlas, the Rif, the Saïss region, Oulmès, the Mediterranean coastal areas, the Tanger region, the Gharb, and the Atlantic plains north of Safi.
Fog and Moderate Winds
Low clouds accompanied by misty formations are expected in the northwestern Saharan provinces. Furthermore, strong gusts of wind are forecasted to affect the southeast of the country, the Atlas, as well as central and southern regions, with local dust storms.
Decreasing Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will range from -8 to 0°C in the Atlas mountain ranges, from 1 to 6°C in the Rif and the eastern high plateaus, and from 12 to 19°C near the Atlantic coast and in the extreme south of the Kingdom. In the rest of the country, temperatures will fluctuate between 6 and 12°C. Maximum temperatures are also expected to generally decrease.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be calm to rough along the Mediterranean coast and in the strait, very rough to extremely rough between Cape Tafelney and Tan-Tan, and rough to high along the rest of the Moroccan coastline.
