Weather Forecast for Monday, January 5, 2026
The forecasts released by the General Directorate of Meteorology include:
Snowfall expected in the High and Middle Atlas regions, above 1700 meters.
Rain and thunderstorms are likely in the Atlas and its neighboring western regions, the Rif, Saïs, eastern Mediterranean areas, Souss, northwestern provinces of the South, Chiadma, Oulmès, and intermittently along the northern and central coastlines.
Rainfall is forecasted for northern and central regions, as well as in Tanger, the Oriental region, the southeast, and the Saharan provinces.
Strong gusts of wind may occur in the eastern Mediterranean and northern Oriental areas, central country, and northern provinces of the South.
Minimum temperatures will range from -1 to 4°C in the mountainous areas of the Atlas, 4 to 8°C in the Rif, high plateaus, and southeast slopes, 15 to 18°C in the southern regions and near the coast, and 8 to 14°C elsewhere.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the southeast and southern Oriental while experiencing a slight decrease in other areas.
Sea conditions will be slightly to moderately rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait, becoming rough to very rough between Cap Spartel and Tarfaya in the evening, and remaining turbulent in other locations.
