Weather Forecast for Morocco on Wednesday, April 1, 2026

The National Meteorological Directorate forecasts generally cool weather for this Wednesday, especially during the morning and nighttime hours, over the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the high plateaus.
Variable Skies with Some Rain
The sky will be mostly clear to partly cloudy in the far south of the country, with scattered showers possible, accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas. Additionally, denser clouds are expected over the Rif and Middle Atlas mountains, bringing light and intermittent rain.
Low Clouds and Occasionally Strong Winds
Low clouds with light drizzle are also anticipated during the night and morning on the northern and central Atlantic plains, as well as in the Gharb region.
Moderate to fairly strong winds will blow across several regions, notably the southern provinces, the Atlas, the central coast, and the southeast, potentially causing dust uplift. Sandstorms are also possible in the Saharan areas and locally in the southeast.
Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will range from:
-6 to 0°C in the Atlas Mountains
1 to 5°C in the Rif and Eastern regions
17 to 23°C in the southern provinces
6 to 12°C in the rest of the country
Maximum temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the southeast and in the interior of the Saharan provinces, while they will see a slight drop elsewhere.
Sea Conditions
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait, as well as between Tangier and Asilah. It will be rough between Mehdia and Tarfaya, and choppy to rough along the rest of the coasts.
Authorities are urging caution, particularly in areas exposed to strong winds and dust phenomena, which may reduce visibility.
