Weather in Morocco: Cold Temperatures and Precipitation Expected This Thursday, December 25, 2025
Weather Forecast from the General Directorate of Meteorology for Thursday, December 25, 2025:
Expect fairly cold to cold temperatures in the Rif and Atlas mountain ranges, the Southeast, and the High Plateaus.
Rain or showers are anticipated in the Atlas and its western regions, the Rif, Saïss, Souss, and the northern Atlantic plains.
Scattered rain is also expected in the Oriental region, the Tanger area, the phosphate plateaus of Oulmès, the eastern Mediterranean, and the northern parts of the Saharan provinces.
Snowfall is predicted in the upper and middle Atlas mountain ranges, and locally in the Rif and Oriental regions.
Locally strong gusts of wind may occur in the central part of the country and the northern areas of the southern provinces.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range from -5 to 1°C in the Atlas and Rif, 1 to 6°C in the Southeast and High Plateaus, 12 to 17°C near the central coast and in the northern southern provinces, and 7 to 12°C elsewhere.
Maximum temperatures will rise in the Souss area, while remaining stable or declining in other regions.
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait, rough between Mehdia and Tarfaya, and slightly choppy to rough along the rest of the coastline.
