Weather Forecast for Tuesday: A Chilly Day Across Morocco

Tuesday is expected to be relatively cold across Morocco, with frost anticipated in the mountainous areas, the Oriental region, the Southeast, and the High Plateaus. Snowfall is also expected in the mountainous zones of the southern High Atlas.

Rain and Thunderstorm Risks

By the afternoon, dense cloud cover will lead to rainfall or showers in regions such as Chiadma, Souss, Anti-Atlas and its eastern slopes, Abda, Doukkala, along with the southern High Atlas. There is also a chance of thunderstorms accompanying these rain events.

Partly Cloudy Skies Elsewhere

The weather will remain mostly to partly cloudy in the northern and central plains, the High and Middle Atlas, as well as the northern Saharan provinces. Some scattered rain may occur during the following night.

Wind and Temperatures

Strong gusts of wind are forecasted for the Oriental region, the Atlas, the central coast, and the Saharan provinces.

• Minimum Temperatures: -5 to 1°C in the Atlas, 1 to 6°C in the Rif, Southeast, and Oriental regions, 11 to 18°C in Souss and the northern Saharan provinces, and near the coast, with 6 to 11°C in other areas.
• Maximum Temperatures: A slight decrease is expected across the territory.

Sea Conditions

The Mediterranean Sea will be calm, while the Strait will be slightly to moderately rough. In the afternoon, conditions between Tangier and Tan-Tan will shift from slightly to moderately rough, becoming choppy to rough. The area between Tarfaya and Boujdour will experience locally good conditions, while elsewhere the sea will remain slightly to moderately rough.
