Wednesday Weather in Morocco: Snow in the Atlas Mountains and Rain in Several Regions

Weather Forecast for January 21: Snow and Cold Temperatures Expected
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that the weather for Wednesday, January 21, will be marked by snowfall in the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas, as well as in the Rif Mountains, particularly in areas exceeding 2,000 meters in altitude. The weather will remain cold in the Atlas Mountains and relatively cool in the Rif, the southeastern region of the country, and the plateaus.
Morning Fog and Scattered Rain
During the morning, dense fog is expected over the phosphate plateaus and Oulmes, as well as in the northern Saharan provinces. The Directorate also forecasts local rain showers or thunderstorms in regions north of Safi, the Rif, Saïs, and the High and Middle Atlas, as well as in adjacent western areas.
Dense Clouds and Strong Winds
The sky will be overcast with rain along the Mediterranean coast and in the northern eastern region, while scattered showers are anticipated in the Souss region and the northwest of the Saharan provinces. Moderate to strong gusts of wind are expected in the eastern region, the Mediterranean shoreline, the Rif, and the northern coasts, as well as in the Atlas areas.
Low Temperatures and Rough Seas
Minimum temperatures will range from -9 to -2 °C in the High and Middle Atlas, between 0 and 2 °C in the Rif and on the plateaus, from 8 to 13 °C in the south and near the coasts, and from 2 to 8 °C in the rest of the country. Daytime temperatures will see a slight increase in the Atlas and eastern parts of the kingdom.
As for the state of the sea, it will be rough to very rough along the Mediterranean coast and north of Tan-Tan, while it will be slightly to moderately rough in the Strait and south of Tan-Tan.
