Strong Wind Gusts and Thunderstorms Expected Across Several Provinces in the Kingdom
The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced that strong localized wind gusts, which may carry dust, along with thunderstorms, are expected in various provinces from Wednesday to Thursday.
Wind gusts of 70 to 90 km/h are forecasted to occur from Wednesday at 3 PM until Thursday at 11 PM in the provinces of Boulemane, Guercif, Taourirt, Jerada, Figuig, Oujda-Angad, Berkane, Nador, Midelt, and Sefrou. This information is part of a weather alert bulletin indicating an orange level of vigilance.
On Thursday, strong gusts of wind are also anticipated from 6 AM to 11 PM in the provinces of Rehamna, El Jadida, Safi, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Mohammedia, Marrakech, Casablanca, Mediouna, Nouaceur, Rabat, Salé, Skhirate-Temara, Benslimane, Berrechid, Settat, Khouribga, and Khemisset.
Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by wind gusts are predicted from Wednesday at 9 PM to Thursday at 9 PM in the provinces of Taroudant, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, and Essaouira.
