World Boxing Championships: Moroccan U19 Team Wins 4 Bronze Medals

The Moroccan U19 national team has secured four bronze medals at the World Boxing Championship, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 8 to 15.

The medals were earned by Marouane Jaafari (70 kg), Mohamed Ouahbi (+91 kg), Rihab Hamdoune (51 kg), and Aya Sebai (65 kg), demonstrating a promising technical level among Moroccan boxers, according to a statement from the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation (FRMB).

This achievement marks a first since the official affiliation of the federation to the new international governing body of the sport, the same source added.

This international event featured participation from 79 countries, represented by 485 boxers, resulting in intense competition for podium placements.

The Moroccan national team was coached during this event by Cuban trainer Juan Carlos Ferrer, assisted by Najim Abdellaoui, Yassine Mechhabi, and Zahra Zahraoui, alongside physical trainer Mustapha Abissa.
