46th Anniversary of the Recovery of Oued Eddahab: A Major Milestone in Morocco’s Territorial Unity

This Thursday, August 14, the Moroccan people commemorate the 46th anniversary of the recovery of the province of Oued Eddahab, a historic moment marking a decisive step in the process of completing the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

On August 14, 1979, the scholars, notable figures, and tribal leaders of the Oued Eddahab region traveled to the Royal Palace in Rabat to pledge allegiance to the late Majesty King Hassan II. This symbolic and deeply patriotic act reflected their unwavering attachment to Morocco’s sovereignty, clearly affirming that their Moroccan identity was non-negotiable.
