Morocco Successfully Hosts the Arab Table Tennis Championship

Morocco has impressively hosted the Arab Table Tennis Championship, bringing together 14 countries in an atmosphere praised by the participating delegations. The organization and hospitality were deemed worthy of the most prestigious global and Olympic competitions, further affirming the Kingdom’s capacity to orchestrate major sporting events.

In a statement to the press, Anas Ziyati, President of the Royal Moroccan Table Tennis Federation, expressed his pride in the successful execution of this edition: “The organization was carried out under the best conditions. I extend my gratitude to all members of the executive board, the organizing committee, as well as the Arab Table Tennis Union, particularly its President Khalil Al-Mohannadi and its Secretary General Mohamed Abdallah, for their interest and support. The testimonials from participating delegations prove that Morocco remains a land of excellence for hosting major sporting events.”

Najib El Ahmadi, Secretary General of the Federation, emphasized the exceptional nature of this edition: “This championship will be remembered as one of the best in the history of Arab table tennis. The most significant achievement was the first gold medal won by Morocco, a historic performance, accompanied by a total of 11 medals, with the possibility of securing even more on the final day. This success is the result of collective efforts involving the federal office, technical coaches, and all our partners.”

Khalil Ben Ahmed Al-Mohannadi, President of the Qatari Federation and the Arab Table Tennis Union, commended the level of organization and sports results: “The competitions were intense from the first to the last day, showcasing solid performances in all events, whether singles, doubles, teams, or mixed doubles. We congratulate the Moroccan Federation for this remarkable organizational success, as well as for this historic first gold medal, alongside several other accolades.”

Through this dual success, both organizational and sporting, Morocco not only confirms its leadership position on the Arab scene but also opens new perspectives for elevating national table tennis to an international level.
