The national football team held a training session on Thursday evening in Tangier ahead of their friendly match against Mozambique, scheduled for Friday.

Conducted on the pitch of the Grand Stadium of Tangier under the supervision of head coach Walid Regragui, this training allowed the technical staff to make final tactical adjustments and strengthen the cohesion among players before the game.

All summoned players participated in the session, which included technical work, positioning exercises, and sequences of offensive and defensive coordination.

In a statement to the press, national team player Anass Salah-Eddine expressed confidence in the preparations for Friday’s match, noting, "We know what we need to do, and we must win tomorrow to be ready for the Africa Cup of Nations."

Regarding his first call-up to the national team, he emphasized that the welcome from the group has been "exceptional," adding that he felt at home from the moment he arrived, to the point that it seemed as if he had known everyone for years, concluding with “Dima Maghrib” (Always Morocco).

Player Chemsdine Talbi remarked that this gathering is "very important" as it is the last one before the Africa Cup of Nations, highlighting that the group enjoys a positive atmosphere, blending seriousness with team spirit.

When discussing the friendly match against Mozambique, he shared that it would be a great honor to win the match in front of a full stadium, stating, “We have two friendly matches, and we are primarily focused on tomorrow’s game. We are serious and prepared to win.”

"I am very happy and proud to have been called up to the national team, and I am eager to show what I can do and to represent Morocco with dignity," he affirmed.

It’s worth noting that the friendly match, set to kick off at 8 PM at the Grand Stadium of Tangier, will take place in front of a sold-out crowd after tickets have sold out.
