21st Round of the “Inwi” Professional National Championship: A Turning Point in the Race for Promotion

The 21st round of the “Inwi” professional national championship in the second division marked a significant turning point in the race for the top spot. Maghreb de Tétouan has lost its position as leader to Wydad de Témara, while the battle against relegation intensifies for several teams at the bottom of the standings.

Wydad de Témara delivered the best performance of the day, securing a 1-0 victory against Chabab Al Massira, and now stands alone at the top with 37 points. Meanwhile, Maghreb de Tétouan, struggling in recent matches, has fallen to third place with 35 points, tied with Amal de Tiznit, which triumphed 2-0 over Wydad de Fès and occupies second place.

The top three teams are now separated by just two points, reigniting the competition for promotion. Chabab Salmi (4th, 33 points) continues to lose ground after a 1-1 draw against Mouloudia d’Oujda.

Intensified Battle for Survival

At the other end of the table, the situation remains alarming for several clubs. Despite their victory against Racing de Casablanca, Raja de Beni Mellal is still in 15th place with 18 points, firmly in the relegation zone. Racing de Casablanca sits at the bottom of the table with 16 points and appears to be heading towards relegation.

Chabab Ben Guerir (22 points) couldn’t improve its situation after a 1-1 draw against Union Islamique d’Oujda, while Kénitra AC and Union Islamique d’Oujda took advantage of their positive results to climb the rankings.
