According to data from maritime tracking company Kpler, at least two ships that departed from Iranian ports crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, April 14, 2026, despite the ongoing U.S. military blockade in the region.
Commercial Ships Involved
The same sources report that the Liberian-flagged cargo ship Christiana crossed the strait after unloading its corn cargo at Imam Khomeini Port, passing near Larak Island around 4:00 PM GMT, shortly after the blockade went into effect.
Data also indicate that a second vessel, the Comoros-flagged tanker Elpis, was near Larak Island around 11:00 AM GMT before leaving the strait around 4:00 PM GMT.
